Greetings Painkillers,

it seems that Murphy that pesky lawyer with all of his strange laws has popped up in the T&P universe.

With School underway, things are tight time wise, and I wanted to guarantee you that I will still be updating on Mod, Wed, Fri maybe later in the day like this sometimes, but always check back for new content. See you Fri! :)

Good Travels,
Thorne

Hello Painkillers.

Welcome to Chapter II of The Age of the Red Queen. Of Treasures lost and fortunes found will follow from the time when Galien and Quintus separated from Einar and Kel.  While Einar and his group headed north east towards Mountainhome, Galien and Quintus headed north west to the marshy Kingdom of Allas. The Kingdom of mad engineers and strange constructs. They hope to strike peace and an alliance with the Allasians with hope that they will put their siege and war machines to use against the Red Queen.

We will return to Einar and the others in Chapter three. :)

Good Travels,
Thorne

Hey Painkillers,

Another Sketch for you today. This was done for the Webcomic Alliance Character sketch Challenge. # 11 was Cartoon calling tech support. As you can see in these tough economic times even Billionaires have to order essential items from off site. Unfortunately, sometimes things happens and your order gets messed up.

I hope you enjoy.

You can find out more about the great people that make up the Webcomic Alliance at http://webcomicalliance.com

Guest Art – Brad joyce

Hey Painkillers,

This great piece of Guest art comes from Brad Joyce, one of the 2 Brads that make up the wonder team behind Flip And Barrel. This pic of Kel shows a side of him we haven’t seen yet, that as Brad put it “That’s it! I’ve had enough and someone is fixing to get F’ed up!” Side. I love it, it reminds me of a Prince Valiant look. I wanted to thank EVERYONE who pitched in and helped me get through this week and a half where I wasn’t able to sit and work.

It is this community of people that I have come to respect and cherish. Not the big shots, the elitists, or the ones who no longer think they should associate with us, but the small guys and gals who work their butts off for the love of their art, with little, if no recognition. Those people who flock to help each other when needed, those are the people who have my respect.

Tears & Pain has been through many changes, Trials, and Tribulations in the last three years, and I know that because of that I have failed to keep the interest of some readers, that I’ve lost a few because of it, and so on. But for those of you who have stuck around, the ones whom I call my “Painkillers” you truly have my thanks, and my deep respect. I have some things I’m working on in the side that I hope you all will enjoy. I will have more info after the summer but I sincerely wanted to thank everyone who has stayed and hung out with Einar, Kel, Conlan, Keira and the rest through thick and thin. You make it worth it.

Good Travels,
Thorne

Sketchbook – Zombie

by Thorne on 05/26/2011 at 12:01 am

Hey Painkillers,

Surprise update, not comic related but I decided I’m gonna keep a sketchbook, and when I do a sketch *and I can stomach looking at it* I will throw it up as a bit of extra content.

So in honor of one of my quirks I drew a zombie. I am quite enamored, prepared, paranoid about a zombie apocalypse and seem to dwell on it more than most people should. I even have a B.O.B. (Bug out Bag) in case the apocalypse happens.

I do understand that it is unlikely, however “always be prepared” is my motto…or is that someone else’s anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into one of my nightmares!

Good Travels,
Thorne
